Sheepshead Thieves Break Car Window, Charge Stolen Credit Card
SHEEPSHEAD BAY – Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying two individuals wanted in connection with a grand larceny in Sheepshead Bay last month.
Just before midnight on Saturday, November 25, a 22-year old woman left her purse in the backseat of her car, parked in the United Artists movie theater parking garage at 3907 Shore Parkway. Returning from the movie, the victim found the back window of the car smashed and her purse missing, said police.
The next day, two individuals used that same credit card to make a $10 purchase at the Key Food supermarket at 39-95 Neptune Avenue, police said. The suspects then proceeded to the Toys ‘R Us at 89-73 Bay Parkway, but the card was declined as they attempted to make a $100 purchase. The two men were caught on surveillance cameras and their pictures can be seen below:
Police described the two as black men in their late twenties. The first was last seen wearing a dark hoodie, black jacket, black pants and black shoes. The second was last seen in a dark hoodie, dark green North Face coat and gray Jordan’s sneakers.
