Sheepshead HS Student Shot Near School
A female student from Sheepshead Bay High School was shot around 3:30pm today. The incident occurred near her family’s apartment in the Nostrand Housing Projects (3023 Avenue X).
The 17-year-old’s injuries are not believed to be life threatening. She was shot just before entering the building, witnesses say, after returning from a trip to the store. Police locked down the building for almost two hours to investigate, but there has been no word about a suspect.
