Sheepshead Bay And Brighton Beach Split In Half Over Presidential Election

An interactive map from DNA Info allows you to see how each election district voted in the city for last night’s presidential election. What it says about our neighborhoods confirms what we reported this morning — the neighborhood is as divided as the country as a whole.

As you can see, Sheepshead Bay and Brighton Beach are essentially half blue, half red. It mirrors the results of the national election. While neighborhoods like Manhattan Beach, Gerritsen Beach, and Marine Park were all unabashedly Trump voters. Midwood was also a sea of red.

You can go to the site to see the rest of the city, which you won’t be surprised to see much bluer than southern Brooklyn. But we’ve always been a unique part of the Big Apple, haven’t we?
