  1. Whatever happened to cheap basement apartments for people looking to leave their parents homes! No wonder you can’t get rid of your kids.
Also, it’s apparent that every one is doing wood/laminate floors, which if I can recall correctly, NYC (either law or regulation) states that an apt must have 80% of it’s floors covered to reduce noise in apts. Does anyone know if this has ended?

  2. These rents around here are appauling and a disgrace. What happened to a person renting an appartment is they are paying 3/4 of the mortage for the landlord. I understand the situation that the home owner is in with taxas, water , heating and so on. But come on you are robbing the people so unnecessary. Also not many jobs out there either. What about the seniors they need a place to live on a fixed income. Everyone does not have a 401k or an Ira either. This is my opinion.

  3. It’s not a law, it’s usually a rule in a multi unit rentals. Bottom line, it’s up to the owner to do but they can’t be forced to do it.
