Sewer Work To Close E 16th All Week

If you’ve been around E 16th Street between Ditmas and Dorchester Avenues this week, you’ve most likely noticed the block is closed off for construction–and it looks like it will be until at least Friday.

A no parking Monday-Friday sign posted nearby had been amended to say construction was only going to last until today, but a worker on the site said an old sewer line was being removed and a new one put in, and it would be at least a few more days to completion.

So, E 16th users and parkers, don’t count on returning to life as usual tomorrow–but, hey, a little inconvenience for a brand new sewer line doesn’t sound like a terrible bargain, right?
