Sewer Work Tears Up 5th Avenue

Fifth Avenue between 7th and 8th Streets is going to be tough to navigate for drivers, cyclists, and pedestrians for a bit, as crews work on a sewer installation project. Workers taking a break in the shade this afternoon weren’t sure how long the project will take, but according to the city, the street opening permit expires on August 1.
