Several Attempted Crimes, Plus 70th Precinct Meeting Reminder

Here’s the most recent CompStat report from the 70th Precinct, which covers the week of 6/11-6/17/12, and below are some reports from neighbors about recent attempted crimes:

• A thief tried to steal a woman’s iPhone in the early evening of Friday, June 22 on East 17th between Dorchester and Cortelyou, but got away without it.

• A neighbor on Westminster Road between Glenwood and Avenue H saw a group of people arguing, and saw one man threaten the other with a gun, on the afternoon of Friday, June 8.

• Thieves appeared to have tried to break into two homes off of Rugby Road (near DeKoven and Glenwood) last week by slicing through window screens. No entry was noticed in either case, and police are investigating.

REMINDER: The 70th Precinct Community Council meeting is tonight, Wednesday, June 27 at 7:30pm at 157 Lawrence Avenue. It’s your last chance this summer to get some face-time with your local officers–there are no meetings in July and August.
