Service Disruptions This Week: 5 And R Trains Only Lines Not Affected

Below you’ll find early week Park Slope subway changes on the 2, 3, 4, 5, B, D, F, G, N, Q and R lines in Brooklyn. Check back later this week to see what’s happening this weekend. Changes via MTA.info.

2 Line

No 2 trains between Chambers Street and Atlantic Avenue-Barclays Center. The 4, A, N and Q trains provide alternate service.
Late nights, 11:45pm to 5am, Monday to Wednesday, July 20-22.
2 train service operates in two sections:
  • Between 241st Street and Chambers Street, and via the 1 to/from Rector Street. Trains run local in both directions between 96th Street and Chambers Street.
  • Between Atlantic Avenue-Barclays Center and Flatbush Avenue. Trains from Flatbush Avenue skip Eastern Parkway, Grand Army Plaza and Bergen Street.

Travel Alternatives
For Park Place, Fulton Street, Wall Street, Clark Street, Borough Hall, Hoyt Street and Nevins Street, use the nearby 4, A or R stations instead.
For Eastern Parkway, Grand Army Plaza and Bergen Street, take the 4 instead. Transfer at Franklin Avenue or Atlantic Avenue-Barclays Center.
For service between The Bronx and Brooklyn take the 4. For service between Manhattan and Brooklyn take the 4, A, N or Q.

3 Line

Rockaway Avenue and Van Siclen Avenue 3 train stations are closed for renovation.
All times, until late September 2015.
Trains skip Rockaway and Van Siclen avenues in both directions.
To get to Rockaway Avenue, use the Saratoga Avenue or Junius Street stations instead.
To get to Van Siclen Avenue, use the Pennsylvania Avenue or New Lots Avenue stations instead.

4 Line

Rockaway Avenue and Van Siclen Avenue 4 train stations are closed for renovation.
All times, until late September 2015.
Trains skip Rockaway and Van Siclen avenues in both directions.
To get to Rockaway Avenue, use the Saratoga Avenue or Junius Street stations instead.
To get to Van Siclen Avenue, use the Pennsylvania Avenue or New Lots Avenue stations instead.

A Line

No A trains between Jay Street-MetroTech and Utica Avenue. Free shuttle buses provide alternate service.
Late nights, 11:30pm to 5am, Monday to Friday, July 20-24.
A train service operates in two sections:
  • Between 207 Street and Jay Street-MetroTech
  • Between Utica Avenue and Lefferts Boulevard/Mott Avenue

Travel Alternatives
Shuttle buses make all stops between Jay Street-MetroTech and Utica Avenue. Transfer between A trains and shuttle buses at Jay Street-MetroTech and/or Utica Avenue.
For service between Manhattan and Brooklyn, take the J or L trains:
  • Transfer between A and J trains at Fulton Street and/or Broadway Junction.
  • Transfer between A and L trains at 14th Street/8th Avenue and/or Broadway Junction.

B Line

Brighton Beach-bound B trains run local from Prospect Park to Kings Highway.
Days, 9:45am to 3pm, Wednesdays to Fridays until September 18.
Please allow additional travel time.

D Line

Coney Island-bound D trains skip DeKalb Avenue, Union Street, 4th Avenue-9th Street, Prospect Avenue and 25th Street.
Late nights, 11:45pm to 5am, Wednesday to Friday, July 22-24.
For service to DeKalb Avenue, take the D to Atlantic Avenue-Barclays Center and transfer to a Manhattan-bound D, N or Q.
For service from this station, take the Q to Atlantic Avenue-Barclays Center and transfer to the D.
For service to Union Street, 4th Avenue-9th Street, Prospect Avenue and 25th Street, take the D to 36th Street and transfer to a Manhattan-bound D or N.
For service from these stations, take the D or N to Atlantic Avenue-Barclays Ctr and transfer to a Coney Island-bound D.

F Line

Avenue X and Ditmas Avenue F Train Station Closures and Information.
The Manhattan-bound platform at Avenue X is closed for renovation until winter 2015/16. The Manhattan-bound platform at Ditmas Avenue is closed for renovation until fall 2015.
Travel Alternatives:
Avenue X
For service to this station, take the F to Avenue U and transfer to a Coney Island-bound F.
For service from this station, take the F to Neptune Avenue and transfer to a Jamaica-bound F.
Ditmas Avenue
For service to this station, take the F to Church Avenue and transfer to a Coney Island-bound F.
For service from this station, take the F to 18th Avenue and transfer to a Jamaica-bound F.

N Line

Coney Island-bound N trains run express from Canal Street to 36th Street via the Manhattan Bridge.
Late nights, 11:45pm to 5am, Wednesday to Friday, July 22-24.
Trains stop at Atlantic Avenue-Barclays Center.
For City Hall, Cortlandt Street, Rector Street, Whitehall Street, Court Street, Jay St-MetroTech and
DeKalb Avenue, take the Q*.
Transfer between N and Q trains at Canal Street or Atlantic Avenue-Barclays Center.
For service to Union Street, 4th Avenue-9th Street, Prospect Avenue and 25th Street, take the N to 36th Street and transfer to a Manhattan-bound D or N.
For service from these stations, take the D or N to Atlantic Avenue-Barclays Center and transfer to a Coney Island-bound N.
*This detour has taken into account additional planned service changes.
Alternate travel note: For service to Court Street, Jay Street-MetroTech and DeKalb Avenue, take the N to Atlantic Avenue-Barclays Center and transfer to an Astoria-bound N.

Q Line

Manhattan-bound Q trains run express from Kings Highway to Prospect Park.
Days, 9:45am to 3pm, Wednesday to Friday, until September 18.
Trains stop at Newkirk Plaza and Church Avenue. For service to Avenue M, Avenue J, Avenue H, Cortelyou Road, Beverley Road and Parkside Avenue, take the Q to Newkirk Plaza, Church Avenue or Prospect Park and transfer to a Brighton Beach-bound B* or Coney Island-bound Q.
For service from these stations, take the B or Q to Church Avenue, Newkirk Plaza or Kings Highway and transfer to a Manhattan-bound Q.
*This detour has taken into account additional planned service changes.
