Call it an obsession. Call it a cult. Call it a fetish.

We’re opinionated about those boiled beauties with a hole in the middle.

Business Insider (BI) recently teamed up with Foursquare to vote on the “20 Best Bagel Shops In New York City” and released their list on Tuesday. And wouldn’t you know it — our neighborhood has three of them.

“Because the app allows users to save and favorite the venues they love, Foursquare was able to track down which bagels are getting the most praise, based on user ratings and comments,” writes BI.

Congrats to Bagel Pub, Bergen Bagels, and La Bagel Delight!

Perhaps some of you are already getting your backs up about this? Not to worry — we have included a poll below so you may have your say.

#19. Bagel Pub, 287 9th Street (between 4th and 5th Avenues)
Foursquare rating: 8.73
From Foursquare: “Though customers complain that the line can get long, the menu at Bagel Pub Park Slope can’t be beat. From a plethora of bagel and cream cheese options to smoothies and pastries, this place has you covered for breakfast. We’re a big fan of their backyard.

And we must ask this: How is Brooklyn Bagel & Coffee Co. not located it Brooklyn? Three are located in Queens and one is in Manhattan. They came in at #2. Hmm…

Ok, so we know we’ve missed some of your favorites. Cafes, delis, and other somewhat off-the-grid places in the neighborhood deserve our respect. Here are the basic ones to vote on. But please add yours to the comments section if you believe your fave has not been represented!
