Save The Date: South Brooklyn Shakespeare Announces This Summer’s Performances
One of the greatest new traditions in the neighborhood is at it again this summer, as South Brooklyn Shakespeare returns for a third season — and they’ve got a teaser about which play to expect!
Founded in 2013 by South owners Paul Molnar and Dee Byrd-Molnar, South Brooklyn Shakespeare brings the works of the Bard hyperlocal by inviting neighbors to free theatrical performances on 5th Avenue. And up this year? Much Ado About Nothing, one of Shakespeare’s more popular comedies that you’ll definitely want to see.
So save the date! Here are the details from the Park Slope Fifth Avenue BID:
- Saturday, July 25, 6:30pm: 5th Avenue between 17th & 18th Streets (during Summer Strolls)
- Saturday, August 1, 8pm: The Old Stone House, 5th Avenue at 3rd Street
- Saturday, August 15, 6:30pm: 5th Avenue at Dean Street (during Summer Strolls)
