Saturday: Acupuncture For Sandy Survivors

I am such a nerd. (Source: east_mountain/Flickr)

A local holistic wellness center on Avenue Z is offering acupuncture sessions to any Superstorm Sandy-affected neighbors this Saturday.

Advaita Center, located at 2618 Avenue Z, second floor, let us know earlier this week about the offer. It’s open to anyone feeling the effects of the storm.

Wendy Henry, who runs the center, tells us that it’s a group event and no appointment is required. The acupuncture is done by a licensed acupuncturist.

If you stop by, donations are welcome to keep the center going. They also advise that you eat earlier in the day.

A note to any handicapped visitors – there is no elevator to the second floor.
