Salvatore Perrone Charged With Murdering 3 Shopkeepers

The NYPD is charging Salvatore Perrone, 63, with three murders. The Daily News reports that the mugshot above is Mr. Perrone. Several local politicians have tweeted about the news.

This is the man dubbed John Doe Duffel Bag by police. He’s been in questioning recently in connection with the recent murder of a shopkeeper on Flatbush Avenue plus two other murders in Bensonhurst and Bay Ridge.
Police Commissioner Raymond W. Kelly and Kenneth Taub, Chief of the Homicide Bureau of the Kings County District Attorney’s Office, will announce developments in the homicies in the 62nd, 68th and the 70th Precincts at 5:30 p.m. this evening.
