We’ve mentioned it in passing before, but with the impending snowy forecast, it seems like a good time to talk about Salud’s Mexican hot chocolate. They offer four kinds of Mexican hot chocolate, $4 for a small, $5 for a large: the original, a spicy one with chiles, one with a hint of coconut, and one with mint. And if you want to make it at home, they sell packages of mix for $10. It’s up to you whether you make it with a whisk or a traditional molinillo.

Salud is located at 1308 Avenue H, near Argyle Road. They’ll be open today until about 7-8pm, and will play it by ear tomorrow depending on the snow. Call 347-295-1191 to check if they’re open before you head over.
