Russo’s Adding A Location In North Slope When M&S Closes

While it’s pretty sad that M&S Prime Meats, located at 312 5th Avenue between 2nd and 3rd Streets, will be closing this month due to owner Mel Diaz’s health problems, there is some good news — our own Russo’s (363 7th Avenue) will be taking over that space.

We were a little worried this meant one of our favorite places in the neighborhood for sandwiches and fresh mozzarella might be closing the spot on 7th between 10th and 11th Streets, but thankfully that’s not the case.

Russo’s tells us they recently purchased the 7th Avenue building: “So we will be there forever hopefully.”

We hope so, too. And we’ll keep you posted about when the new spot is set to open.
