Robbers Nab 80K In Cash From Man In Sheepshead Bay
A man was robbed in broad daylight at gunpoint in Sheepshead Bay last week while on his way to make an $80,000 ATM deposit, said cops.
The robbers approached their 24-year-old victim at about 1pm on Monday, July 10 near East 21st Street and Avenue U, said cops.
They demanded that he hand over his backpack, which was filled with $80,000 in cash. When the victim refused, the thief threatened him with a handgun and snatched the victim’s backpack off his shoulder.
Cops found that another man and a woman also acted as lookouts, and one of the robbers was seen coming out of a black four door sedan prior to the incident.
