Updated: How To Request Free Tickets For A Performance At The Restored Kings Theatre

Updated 1:03pm: The Church Avenue and Flatbush Avenue BIDs let us know they’re thrilled that so many of you have reached out to them about tickets, but because there’s such a demand they are now starting to wait list people and are responding as quickly as they can to all the emails.

You can also request tickets by emailing your first and last name to the Kings Theatre at  RSVP@kingstheatre.com. Neighbors who send an email will, as long as supplies last, receive a voucher for two tickets. However, the voucher itself, unfortunately, doesn’t guarantee you access to the event – you’ll have to bring your voucher to the theatre and wait in line. Admission will be based on a first-come, first-served basis. For more information, visit the theatre’s website.

Original post: The Church Avenue and Flatbush Avenue Business Improvement Districts have a limited number of free tickets to a preview performance next Tuesday, January 27, at the Kings Theatre (1027 Flatbush Avenue) – which just underwent a massive $94 million restoration and officially kicks off its 2015 musical lineup with a concert by Diana Ross on February 3.

Next Tuesday’s preview event is free and open to the public and will include performances by the Brooklyn Ballet, the Brooklyn Youth Chorus, TriBeCaStan, and the Casym Steel Orchestra. While there is no cost to attend, you must have a ticket in order to do so.

The Church Avenue and Flatbush Avenue BIDs are making their free tickets available to local residents on a first-come, first-served basis. You must be able to pick up your tickets at the BIDs’ office, located at 2211 Church Avenue (off Flatbush Avenue) on Monday January 26 between 9am and 5pm.

To request a ticket, email the BID at info@churchavenue.org by this Friday, January 23 at 11:00 am, at the latest, with your name and the name of your guest and the approximate time when you can pick up your tickets on Monday.
