Rental Roundup: 2-Bedroom Apartments

Rental Roundup: 2-Bedroom Apartments
501 12th St via Corcoran

In the market for a new 2-bedroom rental? Here are a few in the area that were recently listed — check ‘em out, and let us know what you think.

175 23rd Street, between 3rd and 4th Avenues
Price: $2,100
Size: 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom
Available: Now
Details: It might be sandwiched between busy 4th Avenue and the Gowanus Expressway, but it’s also close to the subway at 25th Street, and several terrific bars (and our favorite tacos) just up on 5th Avenue, and it looks like you get a pretty good amount of space compared to some of the higher priced listings below.

240 13th Street, between 4th and 5th Avenues
Price: $2,295
Size: 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom
Available: Now
Details: This and another 2-bed in the same townhouse are currently listed for rent, and both appear to have been recently redone, with nice new kitchen appliances. The other one, priced at $2,395 per month, looks like it has a larger kitchen, though this space seems ample enough.

501 12th Street, between 8th Avenue and Prospect Park West
Price: $2,800
Size: 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom
Available: February 1
Details: Described as “an open flow with french doors of the master bedroom opening into the second bedroom followed by an office space/play area” and pictured above, this sounds like a railroad apartment to us, which could be ideal for a family, but less so for roommates. Great proximity to Prospect Park, though.

408 10th Street, between 5th and 6th Avenues
Price: $3,950
Size: 2.5 bedrooms, 1 bathroom
Available: Now
Details: Near the top of the market for 2-bedrooms in our area, this is advertised as having an extra room, though that .5 bedroom usually means no window. The listing doesn’t get specific with that, or any other details, but from the pics, the kitchen seems mostly new, there’s a ceiling fan that could come in handy in the summer, and it looks like it gets a good amount of light. We don’t envy having to get a couch up those narrow stairs, though.
