In September, the owners of 147 St. Felix Street filed a plan with the Department of Buildings to build a three-story townhouse at the corner of St. Felix Street and Hanson Place. Now, we have the first renderings of the building, thanks to New York YIMBY.

Designed by Brooklyn-based think! architecture and design, the building is three floors with two units — a three-bedroom duplex over a two-bedroom rental — each with its own entry. The owner’s duplex entry is on St. Felix Street, away from foot traffic coming from Atlantic Avenue, while the rental entry is on Hanson Place, “next to the single-car garage.”

The design has received support from the Brooklyn Academy of Music, Historic Districts Council, and now the Landmarks Preservation Committee, whose members described it as “logical,” “playful,” and full of “whimsy.”
