Remembering Frank Brandow of The Cortelyou Lounge
Frank Brandow, who, along with his late wife Marilyn, was a longtime owner of The Cortelyou Lounge on Coney Island Avenue (now Visions), passed away on February 14.
“He was a wonderful man,” neighbor Deirdre Perez said on Facebook.
“He was a terrific guy!” added Joyce Fane. “Many fun childhood memories at the Cortelyou Lounge’s Christmas parties.”
There is a viewing today, Monday, February 18 from 2-5pm and 7-9pm, at James P Byrnes Funeral Home, 2384 Gerritsen Ave, Brooklyn.
The funeral is tomorrow, Tuesday, February 19, with a mass at 9:45am at Resurrection Church, 2331 Gerritsen Ave, and the burial to follow at 10:30am at Cemetery of the Resurrection, Staten Island.
