Summer is just around the corner — sign up now for fun and free sports programs for your kids.

Free tennis lessons for children will be offered at 38 parks across the city — including Prospect Park — via the City Parks Foundation.

Opportunities include free beginner lessons, tournaments, leagues, excellence programs and special events. Free use of equipment is provided for those who do not have a tennis racquet. Sneakers are required.

Register here for free tennis programs meeting twice weekly (Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 1 to 4pm) at the Prospect Park Tennis Center — Parkside Avenue at the Parade Ground. The program runs from July 5th to August 15th.

Please contact sports@cityparksfoundation.org, or call (718) 760-6999 with questions.

CityParks Tennis promotes physical fitness while building self-confidence, and is designed to make tennis instruction freely available to kids in a fun, relaxed environment.

And the City Parks Foundation offers a lot more than tennis lessons. CPF provides free sports instruction (from golf to track & field) to over 14,000 kids and 1,000 seniors annually, at over 80 parks citywide. Check out all their sports program offerings here.
