Ready for Passover
Wishing all our neighbors a lovely Passover! Here’s a little bit of what you’ve been seeing around the area leading up to the first evening of the festival.
“Pre-Passover panic is in full swing,” writes neighbor Tracey Hohman. “I really should be cleaning my house right now, but instead I am posing the gefilte fish.”
This afternoon, neighbor Ann Simkins spotted a man doing the traditional burning of the chametz — which is pretty dangerous, and which is why each year the FDNY works with the Jewish community to set up some controlled burning sites. In Borough Park today, there were 32 sites around the neighborhood. Anyone know if they do any controlled sites in our area?
