RCS Kicks Off ‘Operation Gobbler’ To Feed Needy Families On Thanksgiving

This holiday season, Reaching-out Community Services (RCS) is urging people to pay it forward.

Each Thanksgiving, the social services agency doles out hundreds of turkeys to people in need. For just $20, you can sponsor a turkey with all the trimmings for one struggling family.

This year, RCS hopes to collect Thanksgiving meals for at least 600 families as part of its annual Operation Gobbler event. The organization will distribute the turkeys on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday before Thanksgiving Day at their headquarters at 7708 New Utrecht Avenue.

The organization will also sponsoring a day of fun and entertainment for the kids, including meet-and-greet with Tom the Turkey.
