Question of the Week: What’s the Best Way to the Airport?

Neighbor Chris emailed to ask one of the age-old questions of air travelers: What’s the best way to get to the airport from Ditmas Park?

My personal route is to take a cab down Coney Island Avenue or Flatbush Avenue to the Belt Parkway, and then shoot east toward the airport. My car service of choice is R Transport, a reliable 24/7 hub on Avenue H. You can call them at 718-859-1900 or 718-859-3400. It’s best to call ahead for an airport trip, but they’re usually well stocked with drivers at most times.

So readers, whether you’re going to JFK or LaGuardia (or Newark when that’s necessary), how do you get there? Do you take public transportation – if so, which is the quickest way to go? Do you grab a taxi or car service? Which do you think is the most reliable company? Do you drive yourself? What’s your favorite route?
