Question Of The Week: What & Where To Eat Gluten-Free In Ditmas Park?

Zombie Cookies at Cafe Madeline

A neighbor who was recently instructed by her doctor to lay off the gluten is looking for food options around the ‘hood. She says:

I was diagnosed a few weeks ago as being gluten intolerant, but it seems like not many of my usual stops in the neighborhood carry GF items. Where can I get snacks and meals without gluten?

We know Lark (1107 Church Avenue between E 11th Street and Stratford Road) has some awesome gluten-free salted peanut butter cookies as well as bread for their sandwich menu, and Cafe Madeline (1603 Cortelyou Road between E 16th and E 17th Streets) has a cheddar apple scone and a few different cookies.

Heaven Mills in Borough Park also seems to have some fans across the internet, and Park Slope certainly has several beloved GF spots, but what about other options in our area? Anyone have a favorite gluten-free dish right down the block?
