Question Of The Day: Would You Pay $15 For A Smoothie?

We received the below Tweet from Stoop Juice (443 7th Avenue, between 15th and 16th Street) early this morning:

Our first thought was that it was a typo, because tossing down $15 for a smoothie was difficult to fathom…especially at 6:45am. We checked out their Facebook page, though, and sure enough the juice bar introduced their new 24oz Summer of 2013 smoothie today:

A high end meal replacement drink loaded with vitamins and nutrients. Summer Of 2013 Smoothie contains Luna & Larry’s Coconut Bliss ice cream, dates, 1 ounce organic ginger shot, kale, raw chocolate nibs, spirulina, 1 ounce Sunwarrior Liquid Light (Fulvic Acid). Priced at $14.95.

What do you think, South Slope? It’s obviously full of healthy stuff, but would you pay $15 for a smoothie?

If you’re looking for a less-expensive alternative, we’ve got some options around the neighborhood, including ones at Stoop Juice.
