Q train riders can look forward to shuttle bus service between Kings Highway and Atlantic Avenue for four consecutive weekends starting at the end of January while the MTA does needed track work.

The work starts on the weekend beginning Saturday, January 30, and takes place for the following four weekends.

The MTA told Senator Marty Golden’s office that the work is part of a transit switch replacement project along the Q line in Brooklyn and Manhattan.

While the track work is likely to cause a headache for weekend Q train riders, it’s considerably less disruptive than upcoming changes on the N line — which will lose eight stations for 14 months while the MTA overhauls the stops. (Elected officials are petitioning for the MTA to provide temporary platforms in order to ease the burden on commuters.)
