PuppetMobile Presents ‘The Big Good Wolf’ At Brooklyn Parks

Looking for something to do with the kids during the final weeks of summer vacation? City Parks Foundation’s PuppetMobile is presenting free performances of The Big Good Wolf at local parks.

The “modern-day fairy tale” features characters from Goldilocks and The Three Bears, transporting viewers into an enchanted forest where the Wolf seeks help from “fairy godmice” to become good. To change from bad to good, the Wolf must first embark on an adventure to help Baby Bear and Goldilocks.

“We are thrilled to be presenting this original production of The Big Good Wolf to audiences across New York City with our traveling PuppetMobile,” Artistic Director of the Swedish Cottage Marionette Theatre, Bruce Cannon, said in a statement. “Our vibrant scenes, delightful characters and captivating story will bring something special to NYC parks this summer.”

The marionette show will be performed at the Brooklyn parks listed below.

Marion Hopkinson Park, Bed-Stuy – Wednesday, August 22 at 11am
Owl’s Head Park, Bay Ridge – Thursday, August 23 at 11am
South Oxford Park, Fort Greene – Friday, August 24 at 11am

City Parks Foundation works to transform NYC parks into “vibrant centers of urban life through sports, arts, community building and education programs.” The organization and the PuppetMobile present free performances and puppet-making workshops in neighborhood parks, recreation centers, and schools across New York City.
