Police are searching for a pair of punks wanted for sticking up a man in Brighton Beach last week.

Cops say the two suspects approached a 40-year old man in an alleyway just before 7pm on Tuesday, December 22. One of the robbers pulled out a gun and pistol-whipped their victim, according to the NYPD. The pair then removed a pack of Marlboro cigarettes and $120 in cash and fled down Brighton 5th Street, where they turned west onto Ocean View Avenue, authorities say.

The victim refused medical attention at the scene, according to police.

Cops describe both suspects as black men in their late teens or early 20s. Both were wearing hooded jackets/sweatshirts (The NYPD says its hard to tell in the surveillance video). The pistol-whipping suspect is said to be five feet, eight inches tall and about 150 pounds. Police say the accomplice is about five feet, 11 inches tall and has a slim build.

Anyone with information is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers hotline at 800-577-TIPS. The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the Crime Stoppers website or by texting their tips to 274637 (CRIMES) and then entering TIP577.
