The PS 217 Mother's Day Plant & Bake Sale Starts Tomorrow
The PS 217 Parents Association will be holding its annual Mother’s Day Plant and Bake Sale tomorrow, May 9, and Friday, May 10, from 10am-2pm. The group plans to have the sale outside the school (1100 Newkirk Ave. between Coney Island Ave. and Westminster), assuming the weather holds up, which it looks like it might just do on Friday–although tomorrow looks like more rain.
In addition to inexpensive plants and scrumptious cupcakes, PS 217 parent Maria Newsom-Fahey also hinted at some garden gnomes for sale. All proceeds from the sale support the Parents Association, so come grab a gnome for Mom–and maybe a snack for yourself, too.
