The PS 139 Chess Ninjas Placed At Nationals

Congratulations to the PS 139 Chess Ninjas! At the US Chess Federation K-12 Grade National Scholastic Tournament December 4-6 in Orlando, Florida, both competing Chess Ninja teams placed!

3rd Grade Team: 8th in the Country
Ellis Wong (who also brought home a trophy as the 20th place third grader in the country)

5th Grade Team: 10th in the Country

Tashi Sherpa
Sonam Sherpa
Aowyn Schneider

And the IS 318 middle school teams brought in 1st place for both their 7th and 8th grade teams. The IS 318 teams are largely made up of Ninja alums!
