Prospect Avenue’s Feluccio Space For Rent

It appears that South Slope is losing one of our Italian restaurants.

We spotted signs on the windows of Fuluccio, located on the corner of Prospect Avenue and 7th Avenue, announcing that the space is for rent or sale.

Bedford 6 Real Estate, who is managing the property, notes on their website that the business, asking $6,500 per month, includes a “huge finished basement with walk in box, sidewalk seating permit, and a beer/wine license.

For the past week, the restaurant’s gates have been down every time we’ve walked by, but as recently as Thursday night, Fullucio was still posting to Facebook as though they were open. Calls and emails to the restaurant have not been returned.

Has anyone out there actually seen Feluccio open recently? What type of restaurant would you like to see open in the space?
