An Orthodox Jewish news website is reporting that new anti-Semitic graffiti has been found inside a Borough Park apartment building.
The website Vos Iz Neias writes that police found five swastikas and the phrase “Hitler is great” scrawled near the buttons of an elevator in the building, located on 14th Avenue near 48th Street, on Tuesday night at around 9pm.
The NYPD Hate Crimes Task Force is reportedly investigating.
This comes as the latest in a series of reported hate crimes that began last year. It also appears the day after a brief article published in the New York Post quoted an anonymous community source as saying that police were questioning the validity of a purported hate crime which occurred last year in nearby Midwood.
