Prepare for the Apocalypse With a Book Launch
As you may have heard, this Friday is, according to the Mayans, the end of the world. Since you’ll have the apocalypse on your mind, why not swing by Powerhouse on 8th on Friday, December 21 at 7:30pm to hear about writers’ ideas on how the world will end, at the launch party for Sock Money Press’ latest book, My Apocalypse, edited by Scott Adkins.
Adkins asks writers including Elissa Schappell, Bryant Musgrove, Terence Degnan, Paul Ketchum, and more to tell us how they want the world to end.
“I have been curious about the human capacity to dream of the end throughout history, to somehow want to will it to happen,” says Adkins, “and that’s when I thought what if, what if we COULD write the end, what would it be? Assume it is going to happen December 2012, how would you want the world to end?”
