Pregnant Woman Rescued From D Train Tracks
A pregnant woman was rescued from the D train tracks by a group of heroic straphangers Thursday morning after falling from the subway platform, DNAinfo first reported.
The 33-year-old, 9-month pregnant woman felt dizzy before her tumble onto the northbound roadbed at the 71st Street station at 8:40am, an NYPD spokesperson said.
A crowd of “good Samaritans” pulled her out, say cops. By the time police arrived, the woman had already been rescued.
She was taken to Lutheran Medical Center for a head injury, and is listed in stable condition, according to the NYPD.
