Powerhouse Middle Grade Book Club Meets Again On Nov. 6
The next Powerhouse on 8th Middle Grade Book Club is scheduled for Wednesday, November 6, from 5:30pm to 6:30pm.
Jordan B. Nielsen, founder of The Rusty Key, will lead kids in a discussion hour based on this month’s book, One Crazy Summer, “the moving story of three sisters who travel to turbulent Oakland, California, in 1968 in search of the mother who abandoned them,” by Rita Williams-Garcia.
Don’t forget that club members receive a 15% discount on each month’s selected book if purchased at Powerhouse on 8th (1111 8th Avenue, between 11th and 12th Street), so be sure to pick up your copy and read it before the November 6 meeting.
