Posters Offer Reward For Information On Clinton Hill Sexual Assaults
As you likely already know, the area surrounding Gates Avenue and Irving Place was the site of two sexual assaults within one hour one morning at the end of last month. While police have arrested and charged a 17-year-old suspect in one of the incidents, a second suspect is still at large–and posters near the scene of the crimes aim to motivate neighbors who may have reservations to come forward with what they know.
Posters we recently spotted on several Irving Place light poles offer a reward of up to $2,000 for information leading to the arrest and indictment of Suspect #2, who is described as a roughly 6′ tall, 170 pound black or hispanic man with a light complexion. A sketch and video of the suspect, who is said to have assaulted a woman and threatened her with gun violence on Irving Place at approximately 6am on August 31, are below.
