A Bath Beach thrift store, known for selling gently used, brand-name children’s clothing and toys, has launched its first website.

Evan’s Heaven, which has operated at 2111 Bath Avenue for four years, will now ship items directly to customers’ homes, owner Uliana Bukh has confirmed.

“We’re excited, but it’s a lot of work, and we’re doing it all by ourselves, so we don’t know how it’s going to turn out yet,” Bukh told us.

The mother of two launched the shop when her eldest son Evan was born. “My friends and I just had so much stuff that our kids don’t even wear,” she said.

With time, the consignment shop gained a loyal following and even some new customers, who were surprised to learn that the deeply discounted duds were second-hand. Bukh said she started the website at customers’ requests, but so far only few items are online.

With a slim staff of one (herself, plus occasional help from from her mother and husband),Bukh says it may take at least a week before the site is fully stocked with items.

In the meantime, we are excited to watch this local gem expand.

Congratulations Evan’s Heaven, and good luck!
