Police Seeking Suspect In El Milagro Jewelry Theft

A $2,000 necklace was stolen from 7th Avenue’s El Milagro (at 11th Street) on Sunday, September 29. Owner Roberto Lopez tells us that he stepped into the back of the shop for “less than one minute” around 3:20pm, and when he returned, the necklace was gone.

Security footage from within the store clearly shows a blonde woman approach the building, lift the necklace from a mannequin, and rush back out in under 15 seconds.

A report has been filed with the 78th Precinct, who are investigating. No arrests have been made.

Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477). The public can also submit tips by logging onto the Crime Stoppers website or by texting your tips to 274637 (CRIMES) then entering TIP577. The NYPD says all calls are confidential.
