Police Seeking Man for Attempted Robbery of Dunkin’ Donuts

SHEEPSHEAD BAY – He didn’t come for the donuts or the coffee, he came for the cash—and he still managed to leave empty handed.

At around 6:20 am on the morning of Thursday, September 14th, a man entered the Dunkin’ Donuts at 2501 Avenue U, and attempted to rob it at gunpoint, said police.

On surveillance video, the man can been seen in the store, pretending to be taking a phone call before pulling out a gun and pointing it across the counter.

Police said the individual fled without any money, but had no details as to why. The individual is described as a white man, about 6’0” tall, last seen wearing a black jacket, camouflage shorts, and a hat.
