Police Seek Two in Armed Robbery of Bed-Stuy Bodega

Police are searching for two individuals wanted in connection with the armed robbery of a Bed-Stuy bodega.

The incident occurred at approximately 5:49pm at 488 Jefferson Ave, Wednesday, August 2, when two unidentified males entered the corner store wearing masks, police said. The first jumped the counter and began to remove money from the register, while the second produced a handgun and threatened three bodega workers to the ground, according to police.

No shots were fired and no injuries were sustained, but the two individuals fled with roughly $1,000, police said.

Both individuals can be seen in surveillance videos taken from the area of Marcus Garvey Blvd and Jefferson Ave shortly before the incident.

They are both described as black males in their late teens, 5’7”-5’9”, with slim builds, according to police. The first was wearing a red multi-color striped jacket, black pants with white stripe, and black-and-white sneakers. The second had on a gray hooded sweatshirt, black pants and black sneakers.
