Police Seek Man in Williamsburg Credit Card Theft

WILLIAMSBURG – Police are looking for a man in connection with the theft of a credit card in Williamsburg.

The victim received an email from his bank reporting suspicious credit card activity while outside the Atlas Cafe, 116 Havermeyer Street, at 6:30 pm on July 24th. At that moment, the victim realized his wallet was missing—and with it, $60 cash, a debit card and a credit card, said police.

In Park Slope, charges had been made: $413 at the Footlocker on 5th Ave and 14th Street, then $5 at the Subway just across the street, according to police.

The individual wanted in connection with the larceny is described by police as a black man, last seen wearing a white du-rag, black t-shirt, black track pants with orange stripes and a black backpack. He can be seen in the surveillance video below:
