Police Searching For YMCA Locker Thief

BED-STUY – The NYPD is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the woman seen in the below photo in connection to six robberies at a YMCA located in Bed-Stuy.

In each incident, the suspect took valuables from unlocked lockers at the YMCA located at 1121 Bedford Avenue, according to police. Each of the six incidents is described below:

Tuesday, June 13 at 5:40pm – a 32-year-old female victim discovered that her Herschel wallet was removed from her locker and $174.50 in unauthorized charges were made on her debit cards.

Sunday, June 18 at 12:15pm – a 28-year-old female victim discovered that $20 in cash, her ID, credit and debit cards, and a Nordstrom gift card with a remaining balance of $438 were missing from her locker.

Thursday, July 6 at 11:50am – a 24-year-old female victim discovered that her credit card was missing. $262.74 in unauthorized purchases were made on her card at Bargain Hunters located at 1190 Fulton Street and the A&Z Deli & Grocery located at 478 Nostrand Avenue.

Sunday, July 9 at approximately 2pm – a 23-year-old female victim discovered that her Kate Spade wallet containing her ID and credit cards was missing from her locker. A $20 unauthorized purchase was made using her credit card at the Mr. Gates Deli located at 392 Gates Avenue.

Saturday, July 15 at 2pm – a 42-year-old female victim discovered that her ID and credit cards were removed from her locker.

Saturday, July 22 at 4pm – a 71-year-old female victim discovered that her wallet, ID, and other identification were missing from her locker.

Police describe the suspect as a white woman with tattoos on her left arm from her shoulder to her elbow.
