Police Searching For Suspect Who Punched Woman In Head, Stole Phone

BOERUM HILL – The NYPD is requesting the public’s assistance in identifying the man seen in the photo below in connection to a robbery late last month.

Just before 1am on Saturday, November 25, police say the suspect snuck up on a 21-year-old woman standing in front of 59 St. Marks Place near 4th Avenue and punched her in the head, causing her to drop her cellphone. The suspect then grabbed her phone off the ground and fled the scene on foot. The woman refused medical attention.

Police describe the suspect as a male with a light complexion. He was last seen wearing a white t-shirt, black jacket, and black jeans.
