Police Searching For Missing Sea Gate Man [Updated]

A Sea Gate man went missing Monday and police are asking for the public’s assistance locating him.

Francisco Almonte, 24, was last seen in Crown Heights, near the corner of Atlantic and Bedford avenues, at 8:20am, according to the NYPD.

He is described as six feet, four inches tall, 210 pounds, brown eyes, black hair and a beard. At the time he went missing, authorities say Almonte was wearing blue jeans, a t-shirt (unknown color) and brown boots.

Police provided a photo of Almonte, who lives on Lyme Avenue in Sea Gate.

Anyone with information in regards to the missing person is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782). The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the Crime Stoppers website or by texting their tips to 274637 (CRIMES) then enter TIP577.

Update [May 24, 1:20pm]: Police say Almonte has been found and is safe.
