Police Searching For Man Who Attempted To Rob 82-Year-Old In Bath Beach

BATH BEACH – The NYPD is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the man seen in the below surveillance video in connection to an attempted robbery last month.

At approximately 7:50pm on Saturday, August 26, an 82-year old man in front of 8512 Bay Parkway, a frozen yogurt/bubble tea shop, was approached by the suspect from behind, police say. The suspect grabbed the man’s wrist and demanded money and jewelry from him. The victim managed to get away and the suspect fled the scene, according to police.

The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 5′ 9″, 230 pounds, with a light complexion. He was last seen wearing a black baseball cap, blue shirt with “Italia” written across the chest, and dark colored pants.
