Police Searching For Gunmen Who Shot A Teen In Bed-Stuy

BED-STUY – The NYPD is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the three men seen in the surveillance photos below in connection to a shooting at the Sumner Houses over the weekend.

At approximately 6:25pm on Saturday, September 9, a silver Mercedes Benz pulled up to a group of men standing in front of 979 Myrtle Avenue (near Throop Avenue) before shots were fired into the crowd, police say.

The men in the car fired approximately four rounds at the group, hitting one 19-year-old man once in the back as he attempted to flee the scene, according to the police.

The victim was taken to Kings County Hospital where he is listed in critical but stable condition.

Police have provided descriptions for the three men they are looking for in connection to this incident.

They describe the first suspect as a black male, last seen wearing a blue hoodie, silver pants, and silver boots.

A second suspect is described as a black male with an Afro, last seen wearing a red hoodie, black pants, and red sneakers.

A third individual is described as a black man, last seen wearing a red hoodie, blue hat, dark jeans, and blue sneakers.
