Police are asking for the public’s assistance locating a 16-year-old who went missing Friday.

Authorities say Zeeshan Ahmad, who lives on Ocean Avenue, near Avenue R, was last seen at his home around 6am. He is described as about six feet tall, 140 pounds, thin build, with brown eyes, black glasses, brown hair and a mustache. Police say he was last seen wearing a black coat, red T-shirt, a black hooded sweatshirt, grey jeans and multi-colored “Nike” Jordan sneakers.

His disappearance occurred the same week as a 15-year-old girl, Melissa Beaubrun, went missing from Sheepshead Bay High School Tuesday. Cops say she still has not been found.

Authorities did not report a connection between the two disappearances.

Anyone with information on the missing is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers hotline at 800-577-TIPS. The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the Crime Stoppers website or by texting their tips to 274637 (CRIMES) and then entering TIP577.

Update [April 5, 10am]: Police informed us that Zeeshan Ahmad and Melissa Beaubrun have been found.
