Police are searching for an individual suspected in a West Brighton burglary earlier this month.

The man forced open a cash register and stole approximately $70 from Blink Fitness at 2857 West 8th St, near Sheepshead Bay Rd, around 9:15pm on July 2, said police.

According to police, the suspect is a white man, spotted in surveillance pictures wearing a black and white shirt with “Los Angeles” on the chest, black jeans and gray sneakers.

Anyone with information in regard to this incident is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782).  The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the Crime stoppers website or by texting their tips to 274637 (CRIMES) then enter TIP577.

This incident comes on the heels of two other cases of theft in the area this month, including a suspect who reportedly stole a tip jar full of cash in Brighton Beach and another suspect who nabbed $80,000 in cash from a backpack in Sheepshead Bay.
