Police Release Videos And Photos Of Credit Card Thieves

Police are looking for suspects in two separate credit and debit card thefts. They released video footage and photographs of the suspects, and are asking for the public’s assistance in apprehending these thieves.

Police released surveillance footage and photographs of a man and a woman who broke into another woman’s car and stole a credit card out of a purse that was in the car on Monday, September 26 at around 7:30pm, according to police.

The two suspects were driving a Honda Odyssey. They stole the credit card from the car outside of 935 McDonald Ave in Borough Park and then used it to buy $100 worth of merchandise at the Shell gas station at 2001 Cropsey Avenue. After the gas station shopping spree, the two went to Toys R’ Us at 8973 Bay Pkwy where they spent about $500 with the stolen credit card, according to police.

The male individual is described as 30- to 40-years-old, and was last seen wearing a blue sweater, dark colored pants, and a dark colored baseball cap. The female suspect is described as white, 30- to 40-years-old, and wearing a white sweater, according to police.

In a separate incident, a man went inside a women’s purse after she had left it at the Dunkin Donuts at 2302 Knapp St on Wednesday, September 19.

The suspect took a Chase debit card out of the purse, which belonged to a 52-year-old woman. He then left the Dunkin Donuts and fled in an unknown direction, according to police.

He is described as a white man, 18- to 33-years-old, 5’11” to 6’2″, long brown hair, last seen wearing a dark colored baseball cap, a grey shirt, and dark colored pants, according to police.
