Police Release Video Of Suspect In Attempted Rape Of Female Jogger In Prospect Park
Police have released new video of the alleged attacker who attempted to rape a woman in Prospect Park on Wednesday, April 20.
The 23-year-old woman, who was running inside Prospect Park near Garfield Place around 5:15am on April 20, was approached from behind by an unknown attacker and thrown to the ground. The assailant, who was armed with a knife, threatened to rape the woman but he eventually fled after struggling with her, according to cops.
Police say the victim, who cut her finger during the attack, was then taken to New York Methodist Hospital by EMS.
Police describe the suspect as a male, approximately six feet tall, 185 pounds, with short hair, light facial hair, and wearing a black sweatsuit.
